In my head at times
I am a little girl.
Small and intimidated
By the world.
In my heart
I am the Tigress.
Fierce and brave,
Ready to fight.
I was trapped before
By my fear of failure,
Afraid to give it a try.
Today finds me
Steady and strong,
Telling the world
To bring it on.
Rough and tough,
But soft and vulnerable.
I know I will get by.
Regardless of what
Life and love bring,
I know I can survive.
